McCarthy Park Work Day

Thursday Race – 2/4/2016

Conditions are looking to be crusty with some icy spots. Not ideal, but enough to ski on so we’ll take it. With any luck the city will do some grooming tomorrow too. Registration starts at 6pm, race commencing at 7pm.

Tonight’s Race – 2/2/2016

Due to the warm and wet weather and thin base at Elver, we’ve rescheduled Tuesday’s race to Thursday, February 4th. Registration at 6pm, race at 7pm.

Tonight’s Race – 1/26/2016

Last night’s snowfall did the trick. We’ll be racing tonight (Jan 26) at Elver. Registration starts at 6pm, race at 7pm.

Elver Race Canceled – 1/19/2016

Unfortunately mother nature continues to confound our racing plans. The race for January 19th is canceled. The forecast is showing the potential for snow later in the week, so everyone do your snow dance and let’s hope for improved conditions for next week.

Tonight’s Race – 1/12/2016

Tonight’s race at Elver Park is cancelled. Warm temperatures and rain in the past week eliminated much of the base near the shelter and around the ball fields. The overnight snow was also not enough to provide coverage. Given the logistical challenges of forecast low temperatures and moving the start area we’ll not be racing …

Tonight’s Race – 1/5/2016

The decision has been made to hold tonight’s race at Elver Park. Reported trail conditions are not ideal, but with uncertain snow fall we want to take advantage of what we have.
