Sunday in the Park - A Winter Sports Training Opportunity
          Not everything goes indoors for the winter!
When:
Sunday November 7, 10:30 - noon, hopefully continuing until the snow flies

Where: Elver, meet at the new shelter, ready to begin the workout at 10:30.
Why?: To workout with friends, to stay accustomed to the outdoors for a happier winter and to develop outdoor winter sport endurance and strength
What to bring:
  1. Yoga mat (or something to lay on, the floor and ground will be cold)
  2. Set of dumbbells (med balls if you have them)
  3. Ski poles for striding (if you have them)
  4. Your enthusiasm and intensity

Format:
  • 10-15 minute warm up - all together
Depending on the size of the group we may break into smaller groups.
  • 15- 20 minute sport drill circuits
  • 15-20 minute hill work, intervals and activities
  • 15-20 minute ski trail walks with poles
  • 5- 15 minute stretch, cool down, socialize

No fees, but membership in the Madison Nordic Ski Club appreciated, and a donation jar to offset instructor fees will be available.
