Fit City Kids Instructors Needed on Jan 29, 2007
Every Wednesday afternoon in January and February @ 4:00 PM, 25 or more kids meet at the East Shelter of Blackhawk Ski Club for XC ski instruction. We are looking for instructors to help the children put on their gear and ski with 4 or 5 kids for about 45 minutes. About half the kids are bussed in and are low income. We are also looking for hats, gloves, coats etc. for them. Consider donating to the drop boxes at REI (west side); or Cronometro Bike shop on Willy St. (east side), or bring them to the Madnorski club meeting or the Elver races. After skiing, hot chocolate and cookies are served around 5:15ish and everyone is usually under way by 5:30. Even if you can only be there a little while, we'd love to have you.
