The Madison Nordic Ski Club is for every cross country skier — beginner or expert, young or old — who wants to enjoy skiing even more. Each winter the club organizes monthly meetings, day and weekend tours, lessons, an evening race series, social events, and special activities for youth. See the calendar for scheduled events.
MadNorSki offers a variety of programs for athletes aged 5 – 18 that help develop fundamental skills of skiing as well as encourage a life long love of the sport. Check out our pages linked below to learn more.
Trail Kids Ages 5 to 11
Meetings are usually held the second Monday of the month during the winter ski season at the Lussier Family Heritage Center but location and date can differ. Check our calendar for the most up-to-date information. Meeting themes include Nordic Ski Vendor Fair, Chili Feed for Youth Program fundraising, and Pot-luc. Due to COVID, club meetings will be held virtually and club members can meet in person at the many outdoor club activities and events.
The first official MadNorSki meeting was held in 1981. Over the years, the club has worked to support Nordic Skiing in the Madison area.
The XC List is a List Serve that connects Madison Nordic Skiing enthusiasts and provides information about skiing in our area including trail reports, race information, and general inquiries.
The Klister Club is an award of great distinction and to acknowledge those that have continuously given or dedicate a great deal of effort to our sport of Nordic Skiing.
MadNorSki has an archive of print newsletters as well as a record of recent e-newsletters.
MadNorSki board members are involved in creating a community of Nordic Skiing enthusiasts.
