BlackHawk Ski Area
Lots of snow. Corduroy skate lanes and hills. The small Pisten Bully was out setting a nice looking track 5pm.

I skied about 4.5 miles, it was not good as reported there were long lengths of bare ground in the tracks. Everything was glazed over with ice so I had frequent times of near uncontrolled speed in deep tracks and stepping out was hazardous as the deck was rutted and frozen. My reason for the …
Skied 4 laps around the golf course yesterday morning. Rated it excellent considering its mid March. Had full cover still with a few brown spots. Have to congratulate Yuiri and the crew for the excellent job they do grooming on a regular basis-shows what one can do with minimal snow if you know when and …
Yow baby! What a wonderful day of Spring skiing. Seriously one of the best days all season. CXC is nicely groomed and firm on the deck with nice tracks laid for striders. Pleasant View continues to thin out in spots. But it was also groomed for skating, and I had only one place that necessitated …
I’m saying excellent because you can ski a loop, retrack it twice anywhere you want, and you’ll have fabulous skiing. The tracks will be as good or bad as you make them. Use rollerski poles. The underlying ground is frozen but there’s a crust that will grab the baskets of your poles, stressing a muscle …
Western trails (hills & over to Blackhawk) & tracks in pretty good shape yet mid-afternoon. Some small brown spots starting to emerge, but avoidable. Maybe one more early-mid morning of skiing to go?!?
Good snow coverage. Afew bare spots that could be avoided. Still skiable.Enjoy perhaps the last day of skiing.
Much improved from Monday! A few bare spots, some thin sections but easily avoided. Thanks for the grooming!
No new grooming since the warmth Sunday meant the skate deck is a hard, rutted, mess. Classic tracks looked better but with notable bare spots. There's probably 2hrs of really fun skiing here tomorrow if you can sneak over after temps creep into the 40s but before things turn to a slushy mess, but it's …
Correction to my last trail report: it was the West Loop that didn’t look groomed, not Round a Lot.
