Skied the outer Black and Purple loops on natural snow, in addition to the machine snow loop (which was very good). The compacted natural snow was about 4" deep, and coverage was good, except that in places the groomer tread had broken to the soil, leaving narrow snow bridges, and there were bare spots developing. …
Skied before it became too soft (<10:30). Classic trail was rough but skiable. Had to step out 5 or 6 times per loop to avoid bare spots. Skate trail was very rutted but mostly had good coverage. If it can be groomed we could get a few more days on the cooler mornings.
Skied 2 laps of golf course on fresh gator groomed trails early and manmade snow loops -Small amount of groomed snow on solid base. First lap was ice crystal type snow-2nd lap quickly turned to mushy type-amazing how quickly texture changed. Still mostly good coverage but probably wont last long with warmer temps. Thank you …
Skated the flat loop at the top of the mound starting at 7:15 this morning. Expectedly crusty, but honestly in good shape considering it hasn't been groomed in at least 10 days. The base is quite deep, at least 6". There are some deep footprints you'll have to be careful around, and it looked like …
Made the trip east after reading on skinnyski that LP had been groomed by a PB. Arrived to mashed potato-like snow on the entire snowmaking loop (3-6 inches deep). Meadow trail with one bare spot and several very thin areas, but still skiable today. Snowmaking loop will be nice once frozen and re-groomed. Don’t waste …
Ungroomed trail consisting of solid base with soft uneven skate deck. Most tracks still in tack. Holding up well under warm temps. Still on average 4" of base. Plenty of snow to groom yet. Would have rated a good or higher if groomed.
I’m guessing the previous poster was out earlier than I was. Snow making loop in good shape. A few soft pole plants, but not a big deal. The inner loop at Pleasant View had been groomed by the time I was there about 10:00 am. A few bare spots but really quite nice. As previously …
The CXC snowmaking loop and field were groomed with the snowmobile this morning and are good! The snow-making loop is great, and the field is mostly good, but extremely thin–not sure how much longer it will survive. Pleasant View was UNGROOMED and an icy, rutted mess in the early morning. I'm guessing the groomer is …
Still pretty skiable thanks to earlier grooming. With overnight temps below freezing it could be a lot of fun tomorrow morning. Get it while you can.
