BlackHawk Ski Area
Groomed this morning after the new snow yesterday. Mostly good with a few icy spots. Areas in the sun breaking down by noon today. Area west of the Biathlon haus is a no-go. Thanks to the groomers fur another day or two of skiing.

I checked out cxc this am-still a good amount of snow along the power line and the main area- a mix of real good to crusty and icy spots. If we get 2" of snow forecast for Tuesday, would help considerably and maybe with tilling resurrect the main loop for a few more days.
Poor or worse. If it had been groomed, must have been last night than allowed to freeze overnight. Complete ice rink. Zero control. Bumpy too. Absolutely terrible! What a waste of my time. Don’t waste your time at Blackhawk. Do anything else.
I only stayed on the shorter powerline loop by the parking lot. Did not venture on the northern loop because it looked real sketchy driving in. The up side of the powerline part is a tad icy. But I could get an edge. Other icy spots are very short and can be avoided for the …
There was fresh corduroy, but only some old classic tracks were present. Both the corduroy and tracks were incredibly icy. For skating conditions are probably fair+, but for classic skiing it was not fun.
Did the best I could with the ice and my skill level. Outer loop was all ice in spots and is maybe skiable. Otherwise the power line might be okay along with the patking lot flat area.
Groomed for skating and set classic tracks in the areas with good snow cover.
Groomed for skating around 6am. Fair to good conditions.
Completely melted!!!
Groomed for skating and classic on snowmaking loop. Short section alone the accesss drive is not groomed due to ice. Please stay away from that section of the trail.
