Trail Condition

Trails have firmed up. Dick S. out grooming skate deck on west loops @3pm. Still some soft pole plants here & there, otherwise Awesome. Thank u groomers. 😎

Best conditions this season at cxc/pleasant view gc at 3 this afternoon

Brrrr …. but hats off to County groomers for getting a track set despite some drifting along Lake Waubesa. One lonely walker decided to stop around out there, putting big boot holes in the track. Signage will not stop someone that determined to break the rules at -2F

Skied at the west loop this morning. Good track except in the open where the wind filled the track. Downhill has a lot of snow. So it was easy to stay in control. Skate deck has been well used but was still flat with a decent edge. Snow is slow because it is -5F but …

Maple Bluff GC has excellent skating and diagonal trails in excellent shape.

Good sold tracks on the great majority of trail. Only a few washed out or blown over parts. Very cold and high friction snow. Beautiful out there. Very little debris on the trail. What a difference a week makes! 😁😁

Wow! At 1 pm excellent. Skate deck well groomed, wide and firm.

Snow was naturally slow because of the cold and freshness. Skate deck was also uneven in places and too narrow to ski without skiing over tracks. The tracks often had soft snow on the outside track so that the pole plant went deep in the soft snow. Otherwise glad to see this new trail system …

I was at Indian Lake on Sunday and it was Fair/Good. The tracks were inconsistent, but the whole of it had at least been rolled. Assuming no one's out there trying to set land speed records, the conditions are just fine.

The 3k loop was groomed today and is firm with hard tracks. Lots of skiers out today.
