Trail Condition

Not many tracks laid for classic. There are for a short time on the West loop but that's all I saw- there must be a reason. Still a beautiful day to ski.

Elver was a beautiful winter wonderland this morning. Some equipment problems prevented Dick a I from setting track, but the skate deck is good. Lots of downed sticks under the heavy and wet snow so "B" skis are a good idea.

We were able to roll everything. Conditions are soft as expected. Grooming is just starting and should be able to open most trails by 1pm. Open 1pm-5pm today. Planning on grooming early tomorrow morning after the snow comes tonight. Please check in with the golf shop when you arrive. Thank you.

Rolled and groomed trails this AM. There are no tracks set at this moment, waiting for the base to set up and the snow coming tonight should make for great tracks tomorrow. We have a team set to groom tomorrow morning to clean things up. For today use B skis.

Skiing during a snowstorm is fun but not fast I moved a lot of fallen branches so hopefully grooming goes quick.… yeeee haw!

We are working on rolling all the trails this morning and then we will try to groom. Should take most of the morning if not into the early afternoon hours. We'll post again when we have an ETA on opening. U-Ridge will not be offering memberships this year. Only day passes. Thanks.

The snowmaking loop was groomed last night for skating and flattened deck for the upcoming snow storm with Pisten Bulley. We plan to roll all trails tomorrow morning and groom them for skating and classics. Expect soft conditions.

The ski slopes on the West side are perfect corduroy. Looking forward to some natural snow!

Thanks to the Blackhawk snow makers and groomers for providing excellent conditions today. Great to see so many people enjoying the Blackhawk trails!

There was enough snow to ski, but there are a fair amount of grassy/dirt spots to be careful of. The snow felt ski-able and I was able to blaze my own trails off to the side of heavy trafficked spots. Not groomed yet.
