Friluftsliv Training Camp 2024

Friluftsliv Training Camp for High School Skiers–hosted by Madnorski

June 14-16, 2024
Skier ages 14 to 18 years
Lake Farm Park Group Site

We call this the “Friluftsliv” Camp–love of life outdoors!

This will be a fun weekend of rollerskiing, trail running, swimming, playing games, technique work, campfires, having fun with ski friends and best of all — making new ski friends! A special welcome to our skiers from the Southern Conference teams. Athletes should have one year experience of rollerskiing.

Campers will be responsible for managing their own camping equipment. Meals will be coordinated by Madnorski and athletes are encouraged to bring their favorite snacks or recovery food.

We welcome skiers and current US Ski & Snowboard certified coaches/volunteers from the Southern Wisconsin Conference to make this a collaborative and fun way to connect area athletes and coaches who share the love of skiing. Guests from other teams need to have one coach/chaperone for every 5 skiers registered from that team.

We will hold spots for Southern Conference skiers until April 30, and then will open registration up to other teams if there is still room.  Enrollment will be limited to around 25 skiers.

Campers must have one year of rollerski experience and access to skate rollerski equipment. If you have classic rollerskis, please bring them as well. (Madnorski has some rollerskis available to borrow–Talk to Tamara) Helmets are required.
