1k skate deck near the parking lot was groomed this morning. The 1k loop survived the rain pretty well. Rest of the trails have several ice patches.

Magnificent conditions. Siberian Highway (nordic ski loop at the base) was groomed for classic with multiple lanes of tracks for a race this morning. Closed till 1 pm. Should be good tomorrow too, though I am not sure how the Siberian Highway will be groomed.

Not grooming today but we will try grooming tomorrow. Trails should be good this morning for skate and classic. Just be careful in some areas. Golf shop is open from 9-5pm today. 10-4pm tomorrow.

Groomed the man-made loops for skating and then groomed down to the switchback numerous times to try to make it skiable.

Thanks to groomers for making yesterday’s rain event skiable! Zimmerman and Toms actually quite enjoyable. A few spots of debris and avoidable ice on Zimmer. Toms better. Trail from clubhouse to road crossing has some hazards – thin, icy spots and debris.

There is still a lot of snow at BMSP. A couple of us volunteers attempted to groom most of the trail system, except for the campground (just ice and pavement at this point, although we did see a couple of classic skiers there), the Military Ridge trail connector, and Ridgeview. City staff tried to groom today, but conditions were just too icy. Not skiable at this point. Madison Parks is listing all of their ski trails as closed for now.

Concur with the previous post. Just one thing to add… On the far north end of the lower loop take caution on your first lap as there are a few small rocks poking through the surface. You can scope them out on your first lap to note where they are. Heia! Heia!

skied only the fake snow 1.5km loop as golf course closed due to meltdown. Groomed perfectly this morning with nice tracks, although a bit slow and a bit cold with 4F temp at my start and gusty nw winds. Should be much more enjoyable early tomorrow morning.
