The groomer was out! Skier-made tracks were fun in the fresh snow; freshly groomed tracks even better. Some marsh vegetation poking through where you'd expect but overall excellent coverage. Forgot how much fun Lake Farm was for a more laid-back nature-ish classic ski with fewer people.
Joanie and I skated the white, purple, and brown loops after fresh grooming this morning. We also strided part of the blue and green loops. The track had been set the day before and was in mostly good condition. One of our favorite trails in the state!
Still quite good. Good overall coverage. West side leaf litter continues to be a moderate hindrance.
Groomer was laying new track on my last lap and she set it up well. The old tracks were getting blown out a bit and collecting much leaf debris (i.e. – klister) in many locations. It was good when I started and excellent as I was finishing. Cold, but little wind. Nice day!
Not groomed yet, but classic tracks set well by prior skiers. Absolutely beautiful conditions, powdery snow. Tracks well defined and quick. The lack of grooming meant very few people. Would have rated this excellent had they been groomed.

No grooming but plenty of citizen made tracks. A few spots where they are getting a little thin, or washed out, but easily stepped around
Best day's skiing so far. The CXC trails from the golf course down to the Blackhawk connector were especially good and the downhills very manageable in the new snow. Some drifting in the tracks on the golf course otherwise it would have been excellent plus!
The new snow made all the difference. Essentially perfect conditions. Big thanks to city groomers for getting it prepped so quickly!
I found today to be excellent. There were practically no thin spots or ice. Tracks were well-formed and firm almost everywhere. There are some stretcnes near the bottom of hills where the tracks are perpendicular to the slope where the outer track is blown in. Glide was beautiful with Swix CH5 and flawless grip/glide with …
