Took a drive early am to Lapham peak- Arrived to a perfectly groomed manmade loop-skiing was awesome-the best i've skied on there this year! They do a remarkable job of grooming to perfection despite all the free thaw cycles we have gone thru!! well worth the drive!
Hyland Park-Bloomington, MN: 5K snowmaking loop!! 20-25 feet wide, 3 ft snow depth and good hills!! Groomed daily w/ PB through March-as long as the snow lasts. Incredible-gold standard for snowmaking. Hoping CXC eventually develops something similar.
Skied the 10k and 6k loops. Decent base, though a bit on the transformed side. Skied the warm snow this afternoon and it was fine. Yesterdays cold kept the snow sketchy but the 38 degree weather warmed it up nicely. Good to see other tracks in this fine spring snow. Tomorrow should be nice after the snow thaws a bit.
