Quite frankly, I would like to say that it is a No Go today. There is plenty of snow on both the deck and the tracks. However, both are extremely soft due to the thaw. I skied a couple hundred yards and turned around. Skiing on this kind of surface is 1) a lot of needless work, and more importantly 2) tends to wreck the deck and tracks due to deep ski depression. If you really must ski and want to ski here, it is certainly open. But in my opinion, you are not doing yourself any real good and skiing this will contribute to rapid deterioration of the surface. The weather forecast is not good for us. While we aren't expecting much rain, the daytime (and often evening) temps will not dip below freezing. It is really a shame to have so much snow that can't be used effectively.
