The good: At least 4-6” of base and continuous snow coverage across the trail system. Fast and solid snow in the predawn hours; campground loop could be skated. The bad: hasn’t been groomed. Snow got soft after 7am. Runner/hiker tracks in ski trail make ski control difficult on downhills. Crashed on downhill to campground when ski sucked into some hiker potholes and old frozen ski tracks.
Trails could use 3x more no hiking signs and nighttime grooming when temps are below freezing.
Probably the most snow around, though, enjoy while you can.
