Minix (Yellow Loop), Willow Springs (Green Loop), Flint Rock (Red Loop) and the campground were groomed and leveled early this morning. The trails are in fair to poor conditions with lots of leaf litter. There are small stretches of thin, icy and open sections, although 90% of the trails are snow covered. A track was not put down due to the general lack of depth along the trails. If we did not groom in areas, I would advise not attempting it. Ridgeview (Blue Loop) and Pleasure Valley (Orange Loop) was not groomed.
Please use caution at when entering the campground. The first large hill north of the campground along with entering the campground has bare sections. Orange cones have been placed along the trails to warn of major hazards. The gate in the campground leading to Ridgeview Trail has been closed.
Next week's forecast looks more promising with colder weather. At this point, we plan on grooming again Monday morning to continue leveling and reshaping what is left.
