Trail Kids (ages 5-11)

Elver Park – January 21, 2024

The MadNorSki winter programs for our youngest skiers Trail Kids (ages 5-11), are guided by CXC/USSA Certified Level 100 and Level 200 coaches with the assistance of volunteer instructors. The goal of these programs is for kids to learn physical literacy on skis and fundamental ski skills.

Each session will be around 1 hour long and will include skill progression, games, and small pod group ski. Each session will have a different focus and will progress in basic skill development.

When natural snow conditions are poor, we will use the CXC Trails in Middleton where there is a machine-made snow loop.

We ask that families have a current 2026-27 Madnorski membership. Thank you for your support of the club!

Trail Kids (ages 5-11)

January 2027 – February 2027

Our once-a-week Winter Trail Kids program for Classic skiing will be offered on Sundays and on Mondays. The times will be in the late afternoon – skiing when there is some daylight!  Skiers will meet their instructors behind the shelter. Participants must have their own classic boots, skis and poles that are fitted to their size and weight.

Scholarships

Madnorski offers a limited number of partial scholarships. Madnorski doesn’t want finances to preclude skiers from participating in programs – our motto is “Cross Country Skiing for Everyone.”  Madnorski would like to increase access to the sport of Nordic skiing.

Weather & Cancelations

Madnorski will do everything possible to hold programs as planned, but some situations are out of our control like extreme cold weather or unhealthy air quality. Should we need to cancel lessons, there will be NO REFUND of program fees.
