Grromed for skating around 7:45 am. Good to excellent conditions on 99% of the snowmaking loop but use rock skis to be safe. Loop is the same length as yesterday about 600 meters.
Although there has been some thinning in spots, conditions were significantly better today than yesterday once the snow softened a bit. Nearly complete coverage, but as staff reported yesterday, there are some bare spots. Unfortunately, the winter hikers thought yesterday’s grooming was for their benefit. Oi. Multiple conversations on trail, but we need more on-trail signage since most are just oblivious.
