Odana Golf Course
Deck was not skiable until groomer came out at about 8:20am. After a few passes deck was pretty good. Plenty of coverage and all the frozen ruts and holes were filled in and smoothed over. It was getting soft by noon.

Went out not knowing what to expect given the previous days of warm weather and was pleasantly surprised. Skate deck is a bit chunky, slanted, or uneven in areas but otherwise pretty skiable, especially on the golf course which I made a few laps on. Snow started very hard and icy, and was getting soft …
It is not a good classic day. Yuriy can’t set new tracks on this. Old tracks are well defined, but quite icy. Grip is a real challenge today. I had skins, and they were not very effective. Downhills were hard to control as there is too much icy chunked chop between tracks and skate deck. …
Hi all, Temps finally dropped below freezing and gave our team members a chance to get out and groom. We are actively attempting to bring the trails back into shape. we did do one loop last evening and found our coverage was very good with 99% coverage. I can't say how it will turn out …
Bottom line: don’t go until it warms up or you see a grooming report. Hopped over this morning in case the crew had started to groom. They had not, so it’s icy and rutted. The good news is that there’s still something to work with, so I’ll be crossing my fingers!
Put in 28k on the 1.5k fake snow loop. Surprised how well it held up from all the rain and warm temps. Solid base with soft snow on top. A few thin spots up in the pines. downhill slightly icy in spots but manageable. Did not venture on real snow trails-Saw a few folks out …
Skiable on classic, and I bet it will be skiable all day unless it rains or gets really sunny! And I'm not just some random weirdo – there were at least five other people out there having a great time on classic. I tried skate style, too, but it was a no-go for me.
You ever run in sand? This is the skiing equivalent of that. The base is like Swiss cheese from the rain/warmth, go fast or sink in.
If you time your ski right, use wider skis, and poles with wide baskets (think touring/BC XC), you can have a slow but enjoyable time at BMSP. I didn't really sink in on my Fischer Spider 62s. With that being said, although there is still a lot of snow at the mound, hikers and dog …
Is there 4in of base? Yes. Is it very soft and the slowest snow I've ever skied? Yes. Is it better than roller skiing? Yes – it's good Birkie mashed potatoes practice. If it gets as cold as predicted Sunday night they could probably salvage a nice skate deck out of this, but will be …
