I started around 11:00 and while the tracks were a bit icy, I was skiing on Fischer Crown skis and had quite decent kick. Where not, I just got out of the tracks and it was very good. Pole plants were an occasional issue as a pole could get stuck in the crusty snow.. I skied on the golf course and some grass is starting to appear in places in the tracks and there was one spot with ice/water but all of this can be avoided and you can use good skis. The only major hazard was a deep set of tractor tracks from a golf course tractor. I hope they tried to shovel some snow into them! When I left at 1:00 the snow had softened a lot.
