Elver Park

East Side/Southeast Trail Loop – 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Near 50 degrees. Very soft in the sun, but with little use, Tuesday's grooming was still evident. Rilled skis = OK glide. Very good coverage, except on the short southerly descent down from the pine plantation on the ridge crest, which is in the sun – part bare and part slightly softened hardpack. May require a slight detour among the trees. The climb straight up (north) from the spot where the two segments of the loop almost touch is also starting to develop a bare spot in the sun, but it should still be skiable on Thursday. CL tracks are still defined, Good to Fair, but icy in shade and suction-y in the sun. Connector to and from the base of the sled hill is still good. Can't predict whether cooler temp Thursday will soften the trail up enough to be enjoyable…
