Did the Pioneer trail but it's completed ungroomed and untracked. A bit difficult to deal with because of the thick snow. There are (now) home made tracks on Pioneer. From what I saw Fern Dell Trail is packed and in good condition. Note, historically Turterville Trail was a nice and scenic add-on to Fern Dell…but it's close this year due to logging. I drove by and it's really ugly. It's crazy the destruction the DNR is doing to Mirror Lake State Park….Lakeview Ridge Pass trail was devastated by logging last year and a few years ago the Hastings Trail was rerouted due to logging. And about five years ago the adjacent Pine Oak Forest State Natureal Area was clearcut along Scott Lane and Herwig Road. This despite timber prices being low and there being a general oversupply. NOBODY is doing or saying anything about this.
