Very icy this morning. Scratched up for skating the best I could with the.Gator. Grooming for classic was not possible and I tried to get push some snow in the tracks. Classic looks okay but very icy. Hopefully we get the Piston Bully fixed soon and we get snow.
Slow going today with the warm snow. Skate deck had good coverage but there were thin spots and stuff poking through the classic tracks along the field
I set some new classic tracks and went over skating numerous times. I do read everyone's comments and appreciate the positive and helpful feedback.
Deck is very hard and a bit sketchy in several spots. But still in good shape and fairly fast. Wind was a bear at times today. Skiing will become harder as the week progresses with a warm-up here. Early mornings are probably your best bet if groomed and open. Thanks for all your work Chip.
What a manmade loop should be. Deep double tracks. Snowy skate surface, not just ice. Lots of happy skiers out. Worth the drive.

WinMan & Minocqua Winter Park both had good conditions this weekend. Not an excess of snow, but groomed and mostly well covered with just a few avoidable thin or dirty spots.

Surprisingly good classic conditions this morning, though they were deteriorating a little by noon. Enough fresh snow mixed in from this week to give good kick and tracks were in ok condition and good condition on the powerline and other shady areas.
